This math project involves students creating a survey question. They will then survey their classmates to create their data. Using this data, they will create a frequency table, a bar graph, a pictograph, a line plot, and will also find the range, median, mode, and mean of the data. Included in this project is a rubric for easy grading.
This activity is designed for first grade or second graders. It uses alligators to illustrate comparing numbers to 100. Students complete a cut and paste activity to "feed the hungry alligators".
