It can be hard to remember all of the accommodations and modifications when we teach multiple sections in a day. I made a summary chart that I fill out at the start of the year and then print one page per section so I can always refer back quickly. This has helped me to be ahead of the game when it comes to getting students what they need, when they need it! Maybe it will help you too!!

Each day I record the date, lesson title, objective, agenda, and homework on the front board of my room. I then have an early finisher record this on the "absent summary form." I keep these sheets in the back of my room in a binder. When a student was absent I require them to check the binder before they come ask me what they missed. When a student doesn't turn in his/her work they must fill one of these out. This way when you're grading, there is still a sheet for them. There is nothing worse than trying to determine who is done and who is not.

Another passion of mine is classroom design. With the amount of time we spend in our classrooms, it certainly should be a space you LOVE to be in. If its not...we need to change that! Have fun with it! Your kiddos will appreciate the time and effort too.
