About the store
Hi! I'm a longtime educator and curriculum writer with a real love for creating meaningful and engaging learning materials. I have a Bachelor’s in Education (certified grades 1–8 in all subjects) and a Master’s in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment. I’m also proud to be a National Board Certified Teacher in Early Adolescence Science, focusing on students ages 10–16. I’ve spent years working simultaneously in the classroom and behind the scenes in curriculum development, so I truly understand what works in real learning environments. I design resources that are standards-aligned, hands-on, and easy to use: whether it’s a fun science experiment, a cross-curricular unit, foundational reading lessons, or helpful assessment tools. My goal is always to support teachers and help students learn in ways that are both effective and enjoyable!

Teaching style

My approach to teaching science emphasizes a hands-on methodology paired with appropriate scaffolding to ensure student success. I believe that active engagement with scientific concepts is essential for fostering curiosity and deep understanding. By involving students in experiments and interactive activities, I create opportunities for them to directly experience the principles they are learning. To make complex topics accessible, I break them down into manageable components and provide structured support at each step. This scaffolded approach allows students to build foundational knowledge and gradually tackle more challenging ideas with confidence. I also encourage critical thinking by prompting students to ask questions, hypothesize, and draw evidence-based conclusions. Ultimately, my goal is to create an engaging and transformative learning environment that inspires a lifelong appreciation for science.
