Before starting our unit on alternative energy, I had student make predictions about the alternative energies by using what they know and root words. It's a simple activity but it really helped my students get in the right mindset and start using what they already know. Perfect for an introduction to TEK 5.7C.
I first start with the warm up to show my students how to show their thinking for these questions, then I have them practice.
