Choose "print on both sides" flip on short side. Fold and give to students for reference in converting between metric and customary units of measure. The back of the booklet has a chart to convert between customary units.

My students are a professional touring choir. When they visit fun places like Disneyworld I like them to learn something as well as have a good time. This activity is one they do on the drive to Disneyworld. They will read a short bio of Disney and the respond to an open-ended question. They will draw Mickey Mouse (scale, proportion, direction following). The last page is Disney trivia. They find the answers by evaluating math expressions (order of operations).

This Powerpoint presentation explains inequalities and how to write and graph them. There are several problems for students to do independently.

Introduces students to the commutative and associative properties of addition and multiplication as well as additive and multiplicative identity and the multiplicative property of zero. There are multiple examples of each in both numerical and algebraic form. Look for the free graphic organizer to go with this.

Introduces students to algebraic expressions and how to write them. Interactive. I give students individual whiteboards and on the practice slides they work out the problems and hold them up for me to see. All are involved and I can tell right away who has the concept and who needs more work.

This PowerPoint is a good introduction to plotting points in the first quadrant of the coordinate plane. I project onto a white board and have the students come up and plot points and write answers. This would work well on a Smartboard too.
