Tranlations and Reflections on the Coordinate Plane
My students are all professional musicians. To practice translations and reflections on the 4-quadrant plane I had them graph an eighth note, translate it and then reflect it across the x axis and y axis. They had fun doing it!

This is an easy introduction to scatter plots. I like to project on to a dry erase board and use a marker to make points. You can edit it to add new scatter plots.

Experience
I formerly taught at an all boys' boarding school. My students were a professional touring choir. I am currently substituting in my town.
Teaching style
Interactive. I use individual white boards often in class. My PowerPoint slide presentations have questions for the class after we've done some examples. Students answer on the whiteboards, hold them up and I can tell immediately who is "getting" the concept and who isn't.

While I was a stay-at-home mom I took the necessary course work (one class a semester!) to become certified to teach middle school math in NJ.
