Super Bowl Snacks Math
Who needs a game when there are snacks out? This exercise has students answer questions about some popular snack items using math. It includes simple problem solving, operations with scientific notation and finding percent. An answer key is included.

Experience

Teaching style
Interactive. I use individual white boards often in class. My PowerPoint slide presentations have questions for the class after we've done some examples. Students answer on the whiteboards, hold them up and I can tell immediately who is "getting" the concept and who isn't.

While I was a stay-at-home mom I took the necessary course work (one class a semester!) to become certified to teach middle school math in NJ.
