This is full exam on the play by Sophocles, "Antigone." Questions include literary analysis such as detecting irony and foreshadowing, as well as comprehension of the text.

This review assignment asks students to identify key passages that serve as examples of the literary devices used by Sophocles in "Antigone," such as verbal irony, foreshadowing, and catharsis. On the back side are ten boxes in which students draw a detailed comic strip of the play.

After studying the qualities of epic heroes, and reading Sundiata, Don Quixote, Ramayana, and King Arthur, students complete this brochure to demonstrate their knowledge of what makes each character an epic hero.

I created this for my sheltered class as a way to help them visualize the events of the story in a flow chart format. The cut outs can also be placed into a plot diagram format to emphasize rising and falling action and climax.
