About the store

Experience

I have taught high school math for over ten years in Georgia and North Carolina. I have experience in teaching inclusion, regular, and honors math classes.

Teaching style

After trying to follow school adopted textbooks for the first three years of my teaching career, I decided that it was more effective to create my own lesson plans. I have done my very best to align each of my lessons to the Common Core Curriculum. Each lesson includes a SMART Notebook 11 presentation and a corresponding note-taking guide with an answer key. I "chunk" each of my lessons in order to build off of the students' prior knowledge so that they can learn new mathematical concepts.

My own education history

B.S. in Mathematics and Education from Wingate University, NC; M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Columbus State University, GA; Ed.S in Educational Leadership from Columbus State University, GA

Additional biographical information

Over the past ten years, I have studied, picked apart, and analyzed the common core curriculum. I have learned that there is not a single textbook that is truly aligned to the curriculum that we are expected to teach. I have worked tirelessly over the past ten years to create effective lessons. This year, I have decided to share my lessons with you! I will be uploading each lesson as I go for $5.00 per lesson. If you like my lessons and can wait until the end of the unit, I will be offering the entire Unit at a discounted price!!! Please let me know if there is anything that I have missed or can add to my lessons to make them more effective.
