Each student answer 5 prompts on 5 sticky notes about events in the last year. This is a great way to do a "year in review" or a semester reflection. Modify the prompts to focus on specifics like, class, a unit, personal lives, the nation, local events, a school year, etc. Students then post the notes one-at-a-time, trying to connect their topics and ideas. A collection of notes is left to represent your Advisory's Year in a Reflection Wall.

Great end-of-year middle school and high school advisory activity. Reflect on the year for the group of students as they discover their unique and common experiences. Not only does this provide a kinesthetic way to reflect, but it also gives teachers a wonderful way to collect information about themes and ideas that mattered to students. A great way to work together while reflecting on one's own experiences.
