This is a “really cool” way to learn some Latino/Hispanic culture and create a bulletin board wall to share with your school!! This idea developed during February's Black History Month around the idea of civil rights. I wanted students to see use this month to expand upon Black History and add some Hispanic civil rights heroes to a display wall for all to enjoy. Students will learn about traditional elements placed on Day of the Dead altars. They will choose a skull design, and do some coloring and pasting. They will honor a loved one by memorializing them in a poster, and incorporating an assortment of items associated with the Day of the Dead.
