The year 2026 marks my 27th year of teaching middle and high school Spanish. And although this has been an amazing career, "casi puedo ver la luz al final del túnel..."
Some of the most valuable items in my Spanish classes are these handouts. The students use these lists ALL YEAR to help them write and be creative in their assignments and projects. I cannot tell you how many times during the year I tell my students, "Por favor, saquen los verbos regulares...," or "Saquen este papel" (and then I hold up the past tense handout/guide). We use these CONSTANTLY! You will love them.
These are DONE for you! There are four sheets for you to download. Just print
Keep this master vocabulary list in your personal file and add to, edit, copy-and-paste, ENJOY! Let it grow, as I have, into an amazing glossary for your personal use in different thematic classroom units. Keep it handy. If you run across a new word, add it to the list!
It can also be printed off for students to keep in a binder, for them to access when they create and write throughout the school year. Or, you can copy-and-paste specific vocabulary segments to enhance your current unit of
These classroom labels are ready to print. Your students will absorb this vocabulary all year!
It's all set up for you. Just print on brightly colored paper, laminate, and cut.
In the download you'll find 41 "typical" classroom words arranged on 13 pages. Add your own as well. Enjoy!
Here is a great phonetic handout to help students memorize the Spanish alphabet. I've also included the "alphabet name game" instructions and a sing-along activity that students really get into. Enjoy!
Here is a letter you can send home with your elementary students, written in both English and in Spanish.
It describes the process for the "Green/Yellow/Red" behavior plan for a standard elementary classroom, and informs parents of the system of rewards and consequences set in place for their student.
This is a Word document that you can edit at will.
Have trouble keeping kids in class? Do they always seem to want to use the restroom or go to their locker?? Is it driving you NUTS??!
Here is a hall pass system that works wonders! Download the instructions and form...
Edit the attached document to personalize it to your foreign language (or other) program. The front and back sides of the foldable flier are included.
I have passed these out to middle school students in order to get them interested in taking foreign language at the high school.
It's seemed to work very well!!! Enjoy!
Do you do lots of computer projects with your Spanish classes? Print this handy Spanish-symbol/accent-mark guide off for your students to use as they type!
