One problem per page to leave plenty of room for students' drawings to represent their thinking.

Students will learn to compose numbers from 10-20 by circling groups of ten and some further ones. Kinder students can simply write the total amount in the box at the top corner. First grade students or advanced kinder students can write out the whole equation represented (10+3=13, 17=10+7, ..). Each page will represent one number between 10-20. You can have students mark picture objects with a pencil as they are counting to teach them how to be more accurate when counting groups of items. Stud
