These vocabulary cards are used in my fractions unit. The words include fraction, numerator, denominator, fraction bar, improper fraction, equivalent fraction, mixed number, simplest form, like fraction, unlike fraction, and unit fraction. Each card contains a definition and an example. I made these to save time because it is much easier to print them on card stock or have them paste them to an index card than to have them write out vocabulary as called for in my curriculum guide.
To get extra practice simplifying fractions, I created this sort activity so that students can cut and paste. I have them simplify all of the fractions first then give the sort sheet after they have completed the simpifying.
This could also be used as a center.
I designed this game so that my students wouldn't begrudge practicing long division. There are 2 game boards. One of the gameboards has 2 digit dividends with 3 digit dividend challenge problems. The other has 3 digit dividends with 4 digit dividend challenge problems. My students really enjoyed it and barely realized they were practicing long division.
This is an activity in which students find the factors of 1-24 using cookie cereal to make arrays to assist them. They complete a chart as they find each factor. After finding the factors or 1-24, there is a sheet in which they identify the prime and composite numbers. There are also practice finding factors worksheets included. I created this activity as an alternative to the Core Curriculum Unit 2 Activity 4. I've used it in my classroom and it worked very well.
In this twist on the classic game of Battle, students compare numbers to see whose number is larger. There are five levels of this game. The levels go from 3 digit numbers to 7 digit numbers with each level getting increasingly harder.
In this version of the remainder game, students divide beans from the pot into groups and keep the remaining beans. Better watch out, if you land on spill the beans, you loose all your beans and have to start all over. Mats and beans are provided for hands on division with manipulatives. Unit 2, Activity 1 vocabulary cards including terms addend, sum, factor, product, multiple, array, multiplication, area, distributive property, property of zero, and identity property. The term variable is included since it is used in this unit. Printing the cards for the students saves time and prevents handwriting and copying issues.
I created these task cards to serve my enrichment students while comparing numbers. There are twelve cards with two numbers to compare with a missing digit and twelve cards with three digits to compare with a missing digit.
I created this fun game as an early finisher activity. With the purchase of this game, you get a set of fraction/decimal cards (about the size of a playing card) for tenths and a set for hundredths. Print them on cardstock and laminate. Then students shuffle the cards and lay them flat. They try to match the fraction with the corresponding decimal card. When they make a match, they keep the set and get a point. Play continues until all the cards are matched.

This fun puzzle can be used for the 100th day of school! It can be used for any level of student. If you have younger students, cut the pieces out and let them put them on top of the hundred outline and for older students, let them try to build the 100 without the outline. Fun, fun fun!
