This power point is a follow up to my "Multiplying Using the Distributive Property" powerpoint (students multiply 2 and 3 digit numbers by 1 number) which is also on TPT. In this power point, students will walk through the steps of using the distributive property to solve 2 digit by 2 digit problems. A click of the mouse reveals the next step in the process. This is an activity in which students find the factors of 1-24 using cookie cereal to make arrays to assist them. They complete a chart as they find each factor. After finding the factors or 1-24, there is a sheet in which they identify the prime and composite numbers. There are also practice finding factors worksheets included. I created this activity as an alternative to the Core Curriculum Unit 2 Activity 4. I've used it in my classroom and it worked very well.

In this unit, students explore the concept of divisibility, establish divisibility rules, complete a worksheet, play a game, and take a quiz. The unit takes a week to complete.
