Simply Visualize

During my Professional Development with Compass PD we were learning about different reading strategies. I learned about using different symbols while reading. I decided I did not want to take up my whole wall with an anchor chart and decided to create a bookmark. This way the students would have the information and be able to use it as a bookmark while reading. My students love that they can see what symbols to use with their post it notes to make little comments as they are reading.

In my classroom I have a class store where my students can buy passes at the end of each week. If for some reason I am gone which is super rare. LOL! I make sure to include these Sub Bucks into my Sub Survival Guide for the substitute teacher. I explain to my students at the beginning of the year when I explain how everything works that these are special dollars that are only earned if I am ever out for a couple hours or the day. I make sure to print them on special fancy paper so they look
