I have been teaching for 20 years. I have taught elementary, middle, high school, and college. I am currently a Montessori teacher and have begun to create materials to use in a Montessori classroom.
I created a set of cards to tell my students the story of the history of writing. I cut out and laminated the text cards and the matching picture cards. I lay out the picture card as I tell the story, and then place the matching text underneath. When completed, this creates a timeline of the history of writing.
These three part cards are a wonderful way to spark interest in world landmarks. The cards were created to be used the the "Toobs" World Landmark set, which are wonderful small materials for the students to interact with. However, you don't need to have the "Toobs" set in order to use the cards. These cards can be printed once for use as a three part card and a second time to make a control of error booklet.
Great Power Point for teaching proper adjectives. Includes two interactive slides where students can practice by filling in the blanks. Great for an interactive board.
A great way to keep a record of what Common Core standards you have taught and when you taught them. At the bottom of the spreadsheet there are tabs for writing, literature, and foundations. Use these tabs to move between the different sheets.
These cards can be used to place words in alphabetical order, to look up words in the dictionary, or to use in a writing prompt. In the Montessori classroom, we use these for all of the above.
