This interactive printable allows students to practice using a hundreds chart to add a multiple of 10 to a two-digit number (and one one-digit number). They must show their thinking using the corresponding color for each equation.
This worksheet can be used as an in class activity, homework assignment, or assessment. It's a simple, visual way to assess student understanding of the strategy of using a hundreds chart to add tens.
Answer sheet is included.
This printable asks students to show that they can use the following strategies to solve the same equation:
• Drawing base-ten blocks
• Making a number line
• Using a 120 chart
On page 2, they are also required to explain, in words, how they used 1 of their strategies to reach their solution.
This can be used over and over as:
• In-class practice
• Homework
• An effective assessment
There is a space provided on each side for you to write in equations, customizing them to what your students ar
Students will practice double-digit subtraction (without regrouping) by drawing base-ten blocks and then crossing out the tens and ones that are subtracted. There is one bonus problem that involves regrouping.
Students can complete this with or with out base-ten manipulatives.
Enjoy! Please provide feedback. :)
This booklet includes directions for four different card games that can be played both in the classroom and at home, to practice math skills.
Games included:

The booklets can be used to introduce the students to the games in the classroom, and then sent home for students to continue their learning as they play with their families. It could also be a fun parent-teacher conference hand-out.

This makes a great math center for students to practice skip counting and/or grouping/arrays. For this center you will have to provide several different small objects (paperclips, beads, stickers, beans, etc.).
Students are to grab a handful of one type of object and count them using skip counting or grouping strategies.
I had my students put their objects in groups of 2s, 5s, or 10s as we were working on skip counting with those numbers. You could certainly have students work with diff
