In my blog post http://stefbubsclassroom.weebly.com/blog/cell-phones-in-the-classroom, I outline how I have tried to manage cell phones in my classroom. Here is a printable poster to go along with this policy.
This video will show you what the student experience looks like for my CVC Words Digital Cut and Paste. Included in this video are examples of 3 levels of differentiation.
Watch here to see how Factor Polynomials Digital Cut and Paste activity works!
To download the activity go to: Factor Polynomials Digital Cut and Paste
Factor Polynomials Cut and Paste gives students the opportunity to categorize 31 polynomials based on binomials vs trinomials. Then students further categorize into:
♦quadratic formula
♦trinomials with a = 1
♦trinomials with a not equal to 1
♦perfect square trinomials
♦difference of squares
♦sum of 2 cubes
♦difference of cubes.

Give students this flow chart to help them organize the steps to graph inequalities in a coordinate plane. This can also serve as a good review of graphing Point Slope Form (PSF) and Slope Intercept Form (SIF). This also pairs well with: Systems of Inequalities and GradesSystems of Inequalities Real Life Application Fundraising Goals ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Keep up with my new products on FACEBOOK!Keep up with my n
The games of “Guess What” is modeled after the classic games of Guess Who and Hedbanz. It is a 2 player game (that can be modified for 3 players) where players take turns asking yes and no questions to isolate a graph. The first player to guess the other player’s graph wins! Game Setup:Each player takes their game board and places it in a dry erase sheet protector. Each player chooses a graph for which the other player will guess. Choose who goes first. That person will ask a yes or no questi
I had the honor and pleasure of presenting the TpT concept to a group of Delta Psi sorority educators. This is my presentation. I left it editable so you can tweak it for your needs. Topics include: icebreaker activity, introductions, my journey, what is TpT, buyer and seller benefits, and where to begin.
It was such a great experience to share all of what this wonderful community has to offer!

Get organized for Back to School! Help students (and YOU) keep track of all their passwords! This resource is something teachers can print off for students to have one central location for passwords. Cards are the size of a driver’s license or credit card so it fits nicely into a wallet and are intended to be made back to back. Printing on brightly colored heavy paper and laminating them also helps. The document includes 4 cards per page and is in Word form so the teacher can pre-enter some in
For years I struggled with 3 things regarding managing assessments: streamlining the look, keeping track of answer keys, and pulling old questions/answers to include on a cumulative assessment. This template solves ALL of those problems!
For this template, I have created a table where the question number, question, and answer all have their own column. Each question has its own row. If I need more or less questions, I just add or delete rows as necessary (right click in a cell and insert/del
Give students a transparent tool to help them label triangles!
Students often have trouble labeling parts (such as x, 2x, a, b, c, opposite, adjacent, hypotenuse, etc) of triangles for Special Triangles, Pythagorean Theorem, and Trigonometry. To help my students do this correctly, I give each student a labeled triangle printed on transparency film.
Then when students are working on one of these types of problems, they line up their transparency with the problem on their paper. They line up
Similarity refers to figures that are the same size and same shape. We can use proportions and similar figures to predict the height of objects in photographs. For this mini project, you are to take a digital picture of yourself standing next to a TALL object. (It is preferable that you take the picture next to something you can NOT measure the height of.) Then you will print your picture and use it to PREDICT how tall your object is. To do this, think about the properties we have used in c

I have been teaching HS math since 2001. I have a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Math Ed and a Master's Degree in Technology in the Classroom.
Teaching style
My philosophy of teaching is to find different ways for students to learn. I believe it is important to show students that math does apply to the "real world" and that yes, indeed, math can be fun.
