Use this sheet to have students respond to an issue, but they have to "step in the shoes" of different people to express their view and then finally their own opinion.
An example is including regarding a proposed law on sugary drinks.
A law lowers the driving age from 16 to 14.

Students will have to use their higher order thinking skills as they complete this task. You are able to type in a variety of issues into the Pro and Con side while varying the degree of difficulty.

This sheet has worked for many of my students. Many parents have thanked me for using this to help their child’s behavior. It helps students to focus every period on their behavior. The great part is that its easy to craft it to the behaviors you want to reduce and to mark a tally each time a student exhibits that behavior.
It works even better if you have a the guardian(s) to set up a positive/negative consequence at home for the behavior (loss of computer, TV, sports, party, etc)
