This packet contains 24 task cards that are designed to give students more practice in identifying rules and patterns in tables and filling in blank spots.
Extending patterns in tables has been one of our most difficult TEKS at the 3rd grade level. Students needs as much practice as possible in identifying a rule, applying that rule and carrying the function out throughout the entire table. These task cards will provide that additional practice to students. They will also have a chance to show
This elapsed time problem solving packet includes 16 word problems for students to solve using their elapsed time strategies.
These cards include problems where students must solve for:
- elapsed time with known ending time
- elapsed time with unknown ending time.
I use these both as a whole class activity and then again in small group math centers for those students that need some extra help.
Hi! I made this activity for my students when I saw they were struggling with ordering and comparing numbers and figuring out those 'in-between' numbers. Since our standards only have them ordering and comparing into the thousands, this activity mixes hundreds and thousands.
This was a whole day activity for my students but would work as a test review, homework assignment or math center.
I created this activity as a review for my students. We had already introduced this unit early on in the multiplication unit. This served as a refresher for most students and to those students who struggled with this particular skill, the blank tables really helped to focus them on the relationships in the problem.
Hope this helps!
This place value activity includes 48 mystery cards that allow students to practice identifying numbers based on clues provided. Students will read each mystery card, identify the mystery number and match it to the correct answer.
I’ve split this activity into 3 sections of 16 cards each.
- Section 1- identify numbers up to the thousands
- Section 2-identify numbers up to the ten thousands
- Section 3- identify numbers up to the hundred thousands
I have also included a place value mat color co
This activity is designed for students who have had practice already finding the perimeter of a figure when all sides are labeled OR when the total perimeter is given and they need to solve for missing sides.
The questions are challenging and are not multiple choice which helps to figure out their thinking process as they work to solve each problem. This activity would be perfect for test prep!

Hello! This packet includes 24 problem solving task cards that require students to round (tens or hundreds).
I use these at the end of the rounding unit. By that time, students have had plenty of practice rounding whole numbers. The problem solving aspect of the unit has students applying their rounding skills but also identifying the proper operation to go along with each problem.
A student answer sheet and teacher answer key are both included as well.
Thank you for stopping by!!!
This packet contains 24 task cards designed to allow students practice locating fractions (halves and fourths) on a number line. The way I've used these before is I will laminate several sets so that students have enough room to show their thinking and problem solving skills. I've also placed these in centers for a quick math review and have also used them as mini assessments.
This packet includes:
- 24 task cards
- student answer sheet
- answer key
Thanks for looking!!
This activity is designed to help students practice rounding numbers to the nearest hundred. Students cut out individual number cards, round each number to the nearest hundred, and paste each card under the appropriate rounded number. Students will practice rounding numbers from 100-900.
Happy Rounding!!!
Hello and welcome!
This is a 24 task card interactive activity I created after the students had a more concrete understanding of multiplication, its relation to problem solving and how to use pictorial representations of the facts.
In this activity, students are given a multiplication fact within 12 x 12. They are asked to model the fact using equal groups. Then, they are asked to write a word problem that relates to the fact and their pictorial representation.
This really helped my students u
Hello!
In this 24 task card and activity you’ll find two different activities. The first is a sort and match that has students analyzing each number and breaking each one down to the sum of its parts. They will cut and paste a matching equation to each number.
The second activity is a set of 24 task cards. Each has a number (up to 9,999) followed y 4 multiple choice options. Students will decide which correctly matches the number being represented.
I have used the first activity as a partner/g
