Hi! At the beginning of every year our classroom does a time capsule! We fill out our forms the best that we can so that they reflect who we are, in the moment! :) We don't unseal the time capsule until the last day of school, so we really talk this up! These bookmarks were created to help students remember the different strategies for summarizing. One side is for fiction and the other is non-fiction. In order to make the bookmark, copy 1 to 2 sided (along the short edge) and you'll have a two-sided bookmark! Our classroom went through a period where they were misbehaving and not taking their time on their work (much like I'm sure many other students in schools!!). We decided to make it fun at lunch with having students sign-up for a lunch date with 2 other friends. I set it on the back table and ask groups to come and sign themselves up along with 2 other children. They eat their lunch with me and then head outside! As the teacher, I fill in the first column with possible dates for them to sign-up!
