What kid doesn't want to create their own dream room?! In this project, the students will reinforce their learning of area and perimeter by connecting it to a real-world application. I have the project planned for three days, but it usually takes about a week as they add details to their rooms. You'll need to assemble the book included in the download for them. “Guessing Jar” or “Estimation Jar” activities are an absolutely joyful and multi-skill “bang for your buck” activity! Additional biographical information

I married my high school sweetheart in June of 2007. We welcomed our first son on Halloween 2012! We welcomed our second son on Cinco de Mayo 2015. We also just brought a micro-Bernedoodle into our family! My sons and I are all at the same school and my husband teaches music at a state university. In my free time, I love being a mommy, a wife, and creating resources! Living in NC offers incredible opportunities for hikes and playing in the snow too! I've wanted to be a teacher since I was *very* young! My inspiration early on was to win a Disney's American Teacher Award.
