This is a great poster that can be enlarged, printed, and laminated for you to use as an anchor chart to write numbers in multiple forms during your place value unit.

Are you working on fact families between multiplication and division? If so, this resource is for you! It is a work mat you can give to each child and have them place in a sheet protector to use when working on missing factors, dividends, or divisors. Additionally, I have also created a ready-to-print center for your students to work on in groups. With a partner, students will take turns filling
Introducing missing factors with this practice page will make learning about the connection between multiplication and division a breeze. Whether you use it to teach missing factors or to assess learning, this activity will get your students to independently solving for missing factors.
This activity can be used as seat work, a partner game, or as an early finisher activity. It requires no prep. All you need is a copy of the workmat and a paperclip! There are 5 workmats in this download.
Directions:
The students will use the paperclip to create a spinner with their pencil. They will spin twice and subtract the two numbers they landed on in the boxes below the spinner. Repeat until the workmat is filled up!
As you introduce multiplication word problems, do you have a few students getting addition and multiplication word problems confused? If so, this activity is for you.
As you introduce division word problems, do you have a few students getting multiplication and division word problems confused? If so, this activity is also for you!
Students can practice sorting addition and multiplication word problems on one sheet, while the other sheet is multiplication and division word problems. This is a g
This is a quiz to assess student learning of the Native American regions (Arctic, Northwest, Southwest, Plains, Northeast, and Southeast). I am more than happy to you email you the editable file if you would like to make changes! Just let me know!
This journal insert will help your students represent 6-digit numbers (through the hundred thousands place). This will help your students understand place value, expanded form, and multiples of ten.
Overall, the students have LOVED this journal insert because it represents larger numbers that place value blocks can't represent.
Directions:
1. Cut out the place value chart.
2. Fold flaps down on border of place value chart and tape in journal. (Do not tape the bottom of the chart down so you
This is activity can be used when connecting the Distributive Property of Multiplication with area! It would be great to use as a matching game, a formative assessment, or a closing activity/ticket out the door.
This activity is a twist on the standard task card. While other task cards have students read and answer questions over and over, this activity allows for students to "poke" their pencil through the answer choice they think is correct. These cards are CCGPS aligned and will be a great addition to your classroom as they are a spiral review for your 3rd grade learners. They include a variety of math topics: Place Value, Rounding, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, Fact Families, Word Problems
During parent conference time, many parents want some resources to help their students at home. This product will help you to create an eyecatching display for your parents to pick and choose helpful handouts to help their child at home. All you need is a backboard to create our display. In this listing, you will get.
1. Helping at Home Sign (Glue at top of backboard.)
2. Welcome Parents Sign
3. Note to parents explaining they may take any items/handouts to help their child.
4. Categories/Subje
Do your students need practice modeling the Distributive Property of Multiplication? If so, this is a great product to help your students practice decomposing arrays (or area models for higher level learners!) Practicing this property with a visual will help this difficult concept seem much more manageable.
This is a list of the 4th grade math standards organized by domain. I use this as a quick reference while lesson planning, especially when planning collaboratively with my grad level or data team meetings! I personally prefer it to be organized by unit, so if you would like to also do this, let me know and we can work something out! :)
This is a fun game to practice multiplication fact fluency using Product 36. Product 36 is a proven strategy using in China to help students learn their multiplication facts 2's - 9's. Because multiplication is commutative, the facts need to be learned are essentially cut in half. Ex: Because you learn 2 x 9 when learning the 2's facts, you already know 9 x 2 when you get to the 9's facts! That is one less fact to learn!

Division Strategies Bump will be a great supplement as you introduce division to your students. In this game, students will practice matching division facts to division models, such as equal groups/fair share, repeated subtraction, and arrays. The best part about this game is that it is NO prep! Just print and go! All you need for this game are dice and counters.
Students can practice determining when a product will be odd or even by doing this sorting activity. Knowing when a product should be odd or even is a great strategy to use when multiplying. It can help them to self-check and determine if their answer is reasonable.
In multiplication, students may not always correctly use the strategies they have learned to do when they don't know a fact, such as equal groups or repeated addition. They may only be 1 or 2 off in their answer, but incorrect all
Need a reference to use when teaching your students to compare fractions with a like numerator or denominator? Here is a great reference to hang in the classroom!
According to the standard, the students should be able to compare fractions with AND WITHOUT fraction models. This poster will be a great way to give students extra support as they move through the stages of CRA (Concrete, Representational, & Abstract).
First, use this poster while the students compare fractions with fraction tiles.
This activity will be just what you need to supplement your unit and help make multiples of 10 hands-on! Connecting multiples of 10 to money will help students to see how this skill is applied in real life. :)
The first page has simple problems to help students create equal groups. On these problems, I list how many groups are needed, as well as how many are in each group. I also have the first problem modeled to help get them started.
The second page has more word problems with real-life ap
