About the store
I've taught kindergarten for 6 years and 2nd grade for 3 years - I LOVE those little guys! Before teaching, I worked as an aide in an amazing 1st/2nd grade multiage classroom where I learned many of the practices I use today. I'm currently taking some "breathing space" to focus on my family for a while... both of my sons are in high school and I've come to the acute realization of just how brief this time together really is! This has also been a terrific time for me to work on expanding and beefing-up my teaching materials. Hence my little store... Teacher's Breathing Space!

Pattern Buddies | Pattern-Building Math Center Using Student-Made Patterns
This is one of my student's FAVORITE math centers all year... Pattern Buddies! We complete our patterns during the first few weeks of school and then enjoy them in the Math Center for the rest of the year! Teaching style
I love the challenge of trying to combine hands-on, artsy-craftsy, or center-based activities with rigorous, standards-based learning! I believe that if kids sing it, eat it, create it or DANCE it, they're going to LEARN it!
