This activity was designed to help my kindergarteners understand that teen numbers are made up of a group of 10 and some extra ones. For this activity, students will match the teen number card to the set of shamrocks that it represents. This is a packet of ten-frames designed around turkey clipart images. There are a total of four sets of work mats, with 6 in each set. On each work mat is a box with a polka-dot border. There are sets of cards with matching borders that should be used with those ten-frames. One set of cards has the digit and a set of dots, another set has just digits, and the third set has just sets of dots. Using candy corn or counters, they will pick a card and fill their ten-frame to match that number.
