Practice with Parts of an Atom
"Practice with Parts of an Atom" is an assignment for additional practice with atomic number, mass number, and how many protons, neutrons, and electrons are in each isotope. Since being comfortable with determining atomic number, mass number, and electrons is so important throughout chemistry, this practice is a useful tool in assessing student progress.

This worksheet allows students to compare the changes between physical states by energy, particle motion, and attractive forces. The detail of the content will depend on the level of the class, but the result is a very useful tool for reviews and test preparation. Teaching style
I encourage students to build upon previous knowledge and gain new knowledge. I incorporate many activities and labs to involve the students in the practical application of the material, and I am using an increasing number of foldables to review and reinforce key concepts.
I have found that students learn very differently, but all can grasp even difficult concepts when given the opportunity. I enjoy finding a variety of ways to present these concepts and learning how to match them to the students I am teaching!
