Looking for the perfect way to spiral review in your Math class? This resource is for you! Calendar Math uses the numbers in the date and day of school to introduce and reinforce 6th grade Common Core Math skills. This document was inspired by Stephanie Moorman's Calendar Math program for 4th and 5th graders. Students will solve fraction multiplication problems (fraction by fraction, mixed number by fraction, and fraction by whole number). They will then check their work by solving the same problems, but this time with decimals. I use this activity to segue from multiplying decimals to multiplying fractions. There are multiple practice assignments and 2 sets of differentiated assessments. This activity also helps students to better understand fraction and decimal equivalencies.
