They may choose to share their entire list, but that is optio

I use this worksheet as part of a minilesson in my 8th grade poetry unit. Since "The Jabberwocky" is a nonsense poem it is great for allowing students to interpret the poem in their own individual way. I read through the poem first, then I show a couple youtube videos of other readings, as well as illustrations people have created of the Jabberwocky. Another great resource is the book Jabberwocky by Christopher Myers. It depicts the monster as a huge basketball player, which is a creative interp

Teaching style

I like my classroom to be very active and hands on. I like to have my students doing, rather than watching or listening. We do a lot of discussion and group work as well.
