Students are required to hand copy an essay of several paragraphs discussing disruptive behavior and how it takes away from the free education they get in this country (that many other countries do not get). This worksheet helps introduce students to probability and odds while having fun with a delicious treat - M & Ms! Each student gets their own bag of M & Ms (you determine the size) and counts out the total number, then the number in each color group. Worksheet contains tables to fill in totals, along with instructions for each step of determining probability. Students also have a separate table to compare their results to a neighbor.

Teaching style
I prefer to have a flipped classroom, teaching with videos, manuals, and the web, and allowing students to work at their own pace. This also allows me to be my own assistant and help the struggling students while allowing the other students to continue working without interruption.
