About the store

Experience

I have been a teacher now for over 10 years in the public school setting in New York State. I have taught 7 years in third grade and 4 years at the middle school level.

Teaching style

I use the Vicki Gibson Differentiation Model where I start most of my lessons as a whole group mini lesson for 15 minutes and then my class divides up into 3 groups of 7 students and we spend 20 minutes at each station. Students who struggle usually begin with me at the teacher led station, while the other students begin at either the collaboration (group or partner) station or the work table (independent station). I follow district curriculum as well as the common core state standards.
