This bundle includes 13 Rock Cycle Fill-In worksheets with varying difficulties. Each worksheet is slightly different. They are perfect for the differentiated classroom. For example, some have word banks while others don't. Some only have a few blanks while others are mostly empty. These worksheets are designed to be used with multiple grade levels, ages, and abilities. Or you can scaffold the worksheets and hand them out to students as their skills grow. There is also an answer key provided.
Here is a fillable Rock Cycle Diagram which is great for distance learning. No printing required! Just email it to your students and they can fill it in, save it, and email it back to you. Or, if you are using Google Classroom, you can "make a copy for each student" and they can click "Turn In" when they are done.
This worksheet challenges students to correctly complete a rock cycle diagram by placing terms from a word bank into the diagram. This is a great resource for differentiated instruction. If you want to increase the difficulty, you could withhold the word bank and see if students can fill it in.
The rock cycle is a very common topic in general science, physical science, geology, and earth science. These task cards will help students understand the three types of rock, how each rock type is formed, and much more.
This product includes:
* 36 Task Cards
* Rock Cycle Diagram
* Suggested Activities
* Recording Sheet
* Answer Key
If you like this activity but would like to assess your students on the Rock Cycle in other ways, try these great products:

Here is a great new spin on learning the rock cycle. This tool allows teachers and students to choose which processes to apply to a any rock...melting, weathering, heat and /or pressure...and then to see what happens next.
When you click on one of the process buttons, the slide automatically advances to the proper location. This will show the students which processes are possible and which are not. The more you use the tutorial, the better you get at predicting the outcome.

Super fast and easy to use project for your science class. Just download, print, and hand out to your students.
Your students are given the job of Director of Tourism for a planet or moon of their choice. Their task is to create an attractive brochure to entice the people of Earth to visit their home planet or moon. The students can do whatever they want, however, they must at least follow the 6 criteria posted in the directions. To make grading fast and easy, a rubric has been provided for you
This is an easy lab to get your students to discover and draw invisible magnetic field lines around a typical bar magnet. All you need is a magnet and a compass.
Here is a great little lab that uses the concept of a controlled experiment to tackle the age old question, "What heats up faster, light or dark-colored objects?" This lab required very little materials and can be done in as little as a day. This document includes a pre-quiz, complete lab directions, a post-quiz, a lab set-up guide, paper T-shirts, and an answer key.
I hope this made your day a little easier.
Here is a great spin on the old historical figure research project but with a new twist using technology. Students will do research on a famous scientist and build a fake Facebook (Fakebook) page. It can be any scientist, or you could focus on a specific discipline, like chemistry or biology. I've included all the instructions, a rubric to help you with grading, a list of some chemists to research, and a solid example to compare to.
This is just a simple worksheet that introduces or reviews the similarities and differences between mixtures, compounds, and solutions, along with examples and practice.
Here is a short lesson on Density. It includes a worksheet for class practice and then a quiz that closely resembles the practice. These should be used after the concept of density has been taught.

Dear Teacher,
This is a simple and effective way to either demonstrate a controlled experiment, or to assign your students a safe, meaningful lab. All you need is a few simple materials. I have also included a quiz at the end with an answer key.
This lab covers topics and terms such as scientific method, controlled experiment hypothesis, independent and dependent variables, constants, etc. This presentation works best if you can alter it as you go. You can also change it to suit your needs or

FUN whole class activity!
Being able to make observations and then inferences based on those observations is a very valuable skills to have in the science classroom, other subjects, and in life. This activity is a great way to introduce these skills or to reinforce them. The activity is led by the teacher from a SmartBoard or projector and can be easily completed in one class period.
The file is designed so that the teacher simply clicks through the slides and the students follow along.
This short activity is a very fun way to introduce the importance of following directions in the classroom. I use it in my science classroom, but you can easily alter it to fit the subject you teach.
In short, some students will actually follow the directions. The other students will not follow the directions and painstakingly, and uselessly, try to completely each task before time is up. Meanwhile, you and the first students will silently snicker at one another.
It's a blast!
Greetings fellow teachers. Here is a topic that most (if not all) middle school science teachers have the pleasure of teaching…the Periodic Table of Elements. It’s a great introduction or review of the Periodic Table, its function, parts, and how it’s organized.
Subtopics include an explanation of elements, atoms, protons, neutrons, electrons, nuclei, energy levels, periods, groups, atomic numbers, atomic weights, element symbols, metals, nonmetals, and metalloids.
Included here is a tut
