This is a hyperdoc built for the Google suite. This is an introductory lesson on finding the area of a square or rectangle. Within the document you will use Google drawings to tile squares and rectangles and to find the area. There is a video to watch that will introduce the formula for area as well as more practice problems and word problems. Students will be working in partners as well as independently to explore this concept.

Find a star is a very popular online classroom reward system! The kids love it and it is easy to prep and change up the game. It is win-win for both teachers and students! Simply print on card stock for durability and laminate. Or cover with packing tape if you don't have a laminator. Place small magnets on the backs of the stars and the numbers. (Make sure the magnets face the same way and they will stack on top of each other nicely.) Will print on a standard 8.5x11 piece of paper. Check out
