This resource is great for World History and Art History classes. Two part assignment: 1. Jigsaw Students will complete a Jigsaw Activity where they will research ONE of the four Ninja Turtles... I mean... Renaissance artists. And then, they will share their discoveries as a group. 2. Extension Activity Students will research a piece of artwork that was done by another artist (not the one they researched) and answer some questions about media, technique, imagery, etc.
As a catholic school educator for 8+ years, I have always strived to create content to enrich my students in their faith. And I also know how hard it is to find fun religious activities for my students on TPT. I actually created this resource for my mom, who is a religion teacher and thought it might be useful for others. How can you use it? The idea behind this resource was to create a "Saint of the Week" wall in my mom's classroom. Each week, if students finished early with their regular assi
How can you use it?The idea behind this resource was to create a "Icon of the Week" wall in my classroom. Each week, if students finished early with their regular assignments, they could work on this activity. I made it a weekly homework assignment. So, if students didn't have a chance to work on it in class, they could work on it at home. Each week, the class would have a different historic icon. And students would have the option of picking between 4 activities, all related to the letters of t
There are so many ways to use this resource!!! I usually assign each student a queen. They research the queen and write an essay. Then, they are put into a groups of 3 (with 2 people who had different queens), to teach them. That way, all students learn about all three queens. This can even be done in more of a jig-saw manner where the people with the same queen, all meet, before writing their essays. Items Included: 1. Student Notes Paper (Word Doc) 2. Student Essay Paper (Word Doc) 3. Rubric/

Mulan Video AnalysisI use this to introduce roles/expectations of males and females in Chinese culture, as well as, the importance of ancestors to the ancient Chinese. However, this could also be used to reinforce information that was previously covered. A great extension activity would be for students to research the Confucius relationships and do analyze how they coincide with the material from the movie. PDF and Word Document included in folder.
Each week in my World History class, we focus our Friday lesson on a female in history. Since most history books focus on the accomplishments of men, I try to find interesting women in history to introduce students to on Fridays. Usually, my assignments cover Ancient and Medieval Women. But in honor of Queen Elizabeth II's death, I decided to remember her on this Friday.

I like to integrate technology into my classroom as much as possible. I enjoy allowing for my students to not only study, but "live" history. And I'm hoping that my teacher store also reflects this.
