El éxito: Estrategias para jóvenes (Success: Strategies for Young People) was written by two certified language teachers who, after plenty of searching, learned that there are few Spanish texts geared towards skill building and learning strategies. This book seeks to be student-friendly and to provide useful information for kids to not only read but to apply to their own learning! I have structured multiple activities to scaffold students through a full essay writing process from words, to thinking, to annotations, to outlines, to opinion formation, to actual writing components, and even editing! It's particularly helpful to teach students how to plan out their thoughts, work on keyword development, create argumentative claims and thesis statements and ultimately to become more aware of the art of

The College Puzzle was created as an interactive vocabulary building activity. There are two puzzles included and should be printed on two different colored papers or used as two separate activities. Teachers may choose to cut out puzzle pieces beforehand or have students cut them out as part of the activity. This is a 2-page Spanish assessment that I give my level 2 Spanish-language learners as they prove their mastery using the very tricky verbs: ser y estar. I love using this assessment because it's fairly quick, easy to grade and assesses multiple skills all using the same grammar component. I have also used it as a review worksheet, as well as, a post-review activity with the class.
