This is an in depth study of a nonfiction book entitled Chocolate: Riches from the Rainforest by Robert Burleigh. This unit is written with the gifted or high potential learner at the 3rd-5th grades in mind. It seeks to address the needs of second language learners of English. The unit is multidisciplinary. The unit incorporates the CCSS and includes 5 rubrics which address learning logs, collaborative work, and project based activities. There is also a parent let
