The count down for IREAD is on! How about some short, extra practice to work on the days before the big day? All items are structured just like the test. This document contains two half sheets of practice for identifying base/root words. There are 5 words on each page. A total of 10 words of practice. The synonym practice contains two half sheets of five words. A total of 10 words of practice. The beginning and ending sounds have 10 problems each. Teacher direction cards are in the document

This document contains an ending sound and vowel sound matching or memory card game. Each matching game consists of 18 words. Students can cut apart and find the matching vowel or ending sound. It also includes a 10 problem (test format) vowel sound practice. This document also includes a 4 problem synonym review for extra IREAD test practice.

Here are two inteactive whiteboard lessons that you can use in Mimio Connect. The first slide is a word sort where students will sort words on the white board by nouns, verbs, or adjectives.The second lesson is compound words. Students will interactively build a compound word by dragging the second word over tot he first word.
