IREAD Basic Skills Practice: Test Like Format
This document includes 11 problems that deal with the skills of multiple meaning words. Students will read two sentences, and find a word that will complete BOTH sentences.
There is also a 10 problem sheet that works on identifying vowel sounds in words. Students will have to read the word on their own, and identify the underlined sound. Then, they will find the word that has the same vowel sound.

Close Reading, English Language Arts, Phonics & Phonological Awareness
In this document you will get three lessons/worksheets. The first one students will have to color the hearts in the picture, and then identify the fraction of each color in the group. The second page are fraction cards where students can cut out and glue. They have to match the hearts to the correct fraction. There are 12 total cards. Students can easily glue the cards onto construction paper.

Students will practice their multiplication story problems by reading Christmas themed problems. There are 12 problems. Students may use repeated addition, or use their multiplication skills to answer each problem. There is a template for students to show their work on as they complete each story problem.
Students will create a sweet poem about their mom. It will be 100% about them. They need to think of words that describe her. Then, come up with numbers that add up to 100 and use them in their poem.

Students will be given the word misbehaving. Students will cut out each letter and make as many 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 letter words they can with the letters. A chart is provided to write the words they make.

The second printable is a heart coloring by odd and even numbers.

I have been teaching for 10 years. I taught second grade for 7 years, and third grade for 3 years.
