These labels are designed to be a simple classroom display that visually link the month to its season. Each of the months has seasonal images and is printed on coloured card to correspond with its month. There are two sets of labels - one for the Northern Hemisphere (i.e. North America) and another for the Southern Hemisphere.

The students are chocolate block designers, employed to create a range of new sizes for chocolate company. The activity shows uses arrays to represent multiplication and how to record the rows and columns to show multiplication facts. As they complete each task, the next one becomes more challenging and requires greater creativity. Teaching style

Students should have rich tasks that are fun and link their learning to solving everyday problems. Their learning should be challenging and deep. Not just simple methods to get "right answers" but to develop them as thinkers, able to solve problems in preparation for life-long learning.
