This sheet has an opportunity for students to draw a model several times then solve by skip counting and repeated addition. It could even be cut and pasted into an interactive journal. I left the last three problems blank so you could easily differentiate per ability level!
This goes along with a Georgia Math Frameworks lesson with students learning to skip count and recognize patterns in skip counting. I created this sheet and they can use a crayon or highlighter to skip count by 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10!
This is a multiplication book that I let my students do over a span of a couple of days. I bind it and they keep it at all times. It goes along with the finding patterns standard MCC3.AO.9. It's also a good early finisher thing for them to do. They can study, re read the rules (they write their own rules to remember) or even make some flash cards all by using this book!
** This covers 2's through 12's as ones should be simple enough to not need memorization **
This can introduce or reinforce the concept of multiplication. Use it as you read along in "One Hundred Hungry Ants." You can do it as you read or go back and have students note three arrangements they remember.
This is a reinforcement activity that I create to coincide with a GA frameworks lesson on practicing mulitplication with tens. I use the base ten ten-strips to talk and introduce then let them use dice to roll their numbers.
This is something I created to reinforce a GA mathematics frameworks activity on building arrays to reinforce fact families. The students must build the given arrays then label the mulitplication problem and division.
This is a factor flower template I made for my students to practice those products that have multiple factors (12, 20, 24, 36, etc) and to deepen their understanding of multiple factors. I assigned them a product based on ability level then they had to use manipulatives to build their arrays and determind their sets of factors. For example, if they are using 12, both factors they find on an array would to into one petal (3,4). All you need to do is have them complete the flower, color, cut and a
On this test students have spaces to use different strategies they have learned for multiplication and division problems. There are a few word problems and a actual number problems too. Its just a short quiz to see what they know. It can also be used for a daily practice worksheet.
