This file contains 5 3rd grade Common Core Tasks. These tasks address standards 3.OA.1, 3.OA.2, and 3.OA.3. These standards involve representing and solving problems involving multiplication and division. Each task requires critical thinking and justification in order for the students to show mastery.

Three documents are included in this lesson. The first is a sorting activity for the three multiplication properties (associative, distributive, and commutative) that requires students to sort mathematical problems into the appropriate properties category. Also included are to independent assignments that require students to identify properties and solve equations. These documents go great with the Multiplication Properties Smartboard Document I have available.

This is a powerpoint Jeopardy review game for multiplication and division. The Jeopardy headings are estimating, finding products, finding quotients, order of operations, word problems and divisibility. The multiplication category contains 2 digit times 2 digit and 2 digit times 3 digit problems. The division category has problems with both single and double divisors.

This is a Smartboard Notebook Document that covers the different multiplication & division properties. Informational slides for each property with examples and descriptions are included. Problems for students to work and classify are also included.
