Description

This real world mini math project with the theme 2D ALIEN, investigates the different types of 2D shapes and their features. Students will be engaged and enjoy using numeracy in a real life situation. It has been designed for students in grades 3 to 5. Now suitable for in person and online learning with printable PDF and online Google slides.

THE PERFECT WAY TO GET STUDENTS INTERESTED IN MATH!

The projects are easy to follow and can either be teacher run or student driven. Each math project is designed to run between 3-5 lessons depending on how much time you wish to allocate to the tasks.

Students will use their knowledge of 2D shapes to design and create their own Paper toy. This project requires either split pins (for the character to move) or a stapler. Students must include several 2D shapes to create their amazing Alien.
