Description

Adding, subtracting, multiplying & dividing decimals notes and practice are so engaging with these math doodle wheels, which you can use to introduce or review the different decimal operations.

What is a math doodle wheel? It's a way to take notes where students:

  • Take notes inside the math wheel
  • Use color, drawing, and doodling to help create memory triggers
  • Complete practice problems in the pattern around the wheel, and
  • Color the background pattern

Students can keep these notes pages in their interactive notebooks or binders all year as a personal anchor chart or reference sheet.

  • The wheels can be enlarged and used classroom anchor charts and are also excellent for reviewing concepts as part of your test prep.

This mini-bundle includes these easy-to-use decimal resources:

Each of the decimal operation wheels includes:

1) THREE versions of the student wheels

  • ‘Open’ for students to write notes
  • ‘Fill-in’ notes, to help control student use of space
  • Pre-filled notes; answers to examples and practice problems are NOT on this version.

2) Teacher key/wheel with completed notes and examples

3) Colored sample of wheel

4) PowerPoint file with two editable templates ~ you can add text to make your own math wheels, if you’d like (for classroom use only - not commercial use).

Features of these easy-to-use decimals resource:

  • Notes sections and examples
  • Guided or independent practice in the pattern around the circle
  • Coloring/doodling opportunity: students can color the background pattern, as well as the headings and doodle arrows

Please contact TPT or email me at ellie@cognitivecardiomath.com to get this worked out. I’m not sure what you mean when you say it’s unusable/nothing useful to print.
