Description

This is a great review packet to help your 3rd graders prepare for the Everyday Mathematics Unit 3 Assessment! These are similar questions and topics that will be covered on the test, and I've found that if students are familiar with the structure and types of problems that will be asked, they will be more successful on their assessments. Here are the topics that the Unit 3 Assessment covers:

  • Using patterns and rules to complete In and Out tables
  • Adding and Subtracting with numbers in the tens and hundreds
  • Estimating before solving
  • Using helper facts to create arrays
  • Draw arrays to solve multiplication problems
  • Use data to create a picture graph with a scaled key

I use this review one or two days before the test, and have them take it home to be signed by their parents, acknowledging that they also reviewed with their student. I like to have the students work in small groups, and then go over the answers for table points. I hope you find my math reviews as useful as I have in my own classroom!

Please visit my STORE to find more resources in math and science, and don't forget to leave me 5 stars and a great review so you can earn money back for more TPT resources! Thank you so much!

Fluently add and subtract within 1000 using strategies and algorithms based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction.
Multiply one-digit whole numbers by multiples of 10 in the range 10–90 (e.g., 9 × 80, 5 × 60) using strategies based on place value and properties of operations.
Use multiplication and division within 100 to solve word problems in situations involving equal groups, arrays, and measurement quantities, e.g., by using drawings and equations with a symbol for the unknown number to represent the problem.
