Description
This is a great review packet to help your 5th graders prepare for the Everyday Mathematics Unit 2 Assessment! These are similar questions and topics that will be covered on the test, and I've found that if students are familiar with the structure and types of problems that will be asked, they will be more successful on their assessments. Here are the topics that the Unit 2 Assessment covers:
- Place value relationships in multi-digit numbers.
- Estimation with multiplication and division
- Powers of 10 and exponents
- Measurement conversions between ounces and pounds
- Using U.S. traditional multiplication with two-digit by two-digit numbers, and three-digit by one-digit numbers
- Long division with two-digit divisors
I use this review one or two days before the test, and have them take it home to be signed by their parents, acknowledging that they also reviewed with their student. I like to have the students work in small groups, and then go over the answers for table points. I hope you find my math reviews as useful as I have in my own classroom!
This includes an answer key.
