This is a great review packet to help your 4th graders prepare for the Everyday Mathematics Unit 1 Assessment! These are similar questions and topics that will be covered on the test, and I've found that if students are familiar with the structure and types of problems that will be asked, they will be more successful on their assessments. Here are the topics that the Unit 1 Assessment covers:

• Place value
• Rounding
• Estimating to help solve addition and subtraction problems
• Addition and Subtraction of hundreds
• Converting yards to feet
• Drawing quadrilaterals and circling right angles
• Perimeter

I use this review one or two days before the test, and have them take it home to be signed by their parents, acknowledging that they also reviewed with their student. I like to have the students work in small groups, and then go over the answers for table points. I hope you find my math reviews as useful as I have in my own classroom!
