Description

This bundle consists of 15 units that I use for my first grade guided math curriculum. It is built around the belief that students need to be exposed to math in a variety of ways. Master Math can be taught in many ways but I will provide the tools to make it a rotation based learning process. Each lesson begins with a whole group mini lesson provided in a SMART notebook version or a pdf file. Then, students begin to rotate (much like centers). MASTER stands for Manipulatives, Apply Skills, Small Group, Technology, Enrichment, and Review. There are activities provided for each component listed, lesson plans, assessments, SMART notebook files, and a fun culminating craft. All first grade math standards are covered in this bundle. It is a year's worth of curriculum and instruction.

Great supplement to our district math resources (which I am not a fan of). This was a helpful find!

This product is loaded with everything you could possibly need to teach math. I especially love the tips that are given to explain how you use each item. My one complaint and honestly it’s a small one, but I wish the teaching slides were in Google slides. That would make this product even easier to use.

I have used the first four units and I am in love! I love the setup of MASTER math as it follows the I do, we do, you do model of learning. My students stay engaged the entire math lesson, and I am able to do math stations while running a small group. I love the various resources included- different manipulative math games, technology boom cards, slides that provide practice (I have my students use their math tool kits and whiteboards to participate), enrichment and review pages for those who need it, and small group practice that I use whole group.
