Fraction Operations practice is more engaging with these Footloose task cards - they get students moving and reviewing!

  • These fraction operations task cards AND problem solving pages are easy prep and address adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions.

The easy-prep Fraction Operations Footloose activity includes:

  • 30 Footloose task cards (a set with a background and a set without)
  • Footloose grid
  • Answer key
  • Directions

The Fraction Operations Problem Solving includes:

  • 4 problem solving pages
  • Recording sheets
  • Key
  • Use for:
    • Centers, with students working individually or in groups
    • Homework assignments
    • Part of unit assessment

The Footloose cards and problem solving require students to:

  • Add and subtract fractions with unlike denominators
  • Add and subtract mixed number with like and unlike denominators
  • Multiply and divide fractions and mixed numbers (the multiplication cards have two versions - one with the x for multiplication and one with the dot)
  • Identify LCM (4 questions)
  • Identify reciprocals (4 questions)
  • Solve word problems

Use benchmark fractions and number sense of fractions to estimate mentally and assess the reasonableness of answers.
