Spring Color by Code Math Activities for First Grade is a fun way to review mathematical concepts.
There are 12 activity pages in this resource.
The following mathematical concepts are covered:
Butterfly (Money): Students color the picture according to coins. (Canadian and American coins are used.)
Spring Duck (Numeration): Numbers from 10-20 are shown using words, tallies, dice, ten frames, rods and units, money, and fingers.
Cat and Flowers(Numeration): Numbers from 10-100 are shown using units, rods, flats.
Chick with Egg (Addition and Subtraction to 10)
Spring Mouse (Time to the Hour)
Boots and Puddles (Time to the Half Hour)
Spring Lamb (Numeration-Less Than, Greater Than, Equal): Numbers from 0-100 are shown using words, tallies, dice, ten frames, units, rods, and flats.
Tulips (Geometry): Students color according to the 2D Shapes shown.
Second Butterfly (Measurement-Taller Than, Shorter Than, Smaller Than, About the Same Size)
Second Chick (Addition and Subtraction Numbers to 20)
Bunny (Seasons): Students colour according to the seasons.
Watering Can (Geometry): Students color according to the 3D Solids shown.
Easy to prep and easy to use: just print and learn!
I have included pages with the American spelling for color and pages with the Canadian spelling for colour in this resource.
I use these activities during my mathematics centre time, for homework, and I even leave the activities in sub plans.
