Description

This volume activity involves taking 24 cubes and finding how many ways a student can create a rectangular prism with those cubes. There is a recording sheet that students can use to help transition from using manipulatives to drawing visual models.

I use this activity and the other volume exploration activities to help introduce and review volume. Once all the students know how to complete the activity independently I add it to the math centers so that students can practice independently.

These are some more task cards for math centers. I print them on white cardstock and laminate them. The card is smaller than an 8 ½ x 11in page so that it fits in a gallon storage bag for easy storage and organization.
